What Are Chimineas?
A chiminea is an outdoor fireplace. They can come in many different sizes, shapes, and are made from a variety of material. These materials include clay, cast iron, or steel.
Chimineas are often found in backyards as a source of generating warmth and providing ambiance. They are a perfect patio fireplace for your outdoor setting. Larger chimineas can provide more uses, while smaller ones may only provide a light source.
Chiminea Features
What makes chimineas very useful and popular is that they are portable. This portable fireplace provides the option to move around if need be. While the wood burns in the bottom space and smoke rises through the chimney, it is a great compact option for city decks, patios, or courtyard. These versatile fireplaces are popular for cooking food, keeping bugs away, or creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
Handcrafted Mexican Chimineas
Our chimineas are handmade in Guadalajara, Mexico using El Barro clay. This clay is thicker than other chimineas found elsewhere, providing higher quality than terracotta and other less durable clays.
The designs of our chimineas vary, ensuring that your chiminea will have a unique design that isn’t duplicated anywhere else.
Tips for Using a Chiminea
Dry wood is best used for burning in chimineas. Wood should only be used for clay models. Any other type of burning source could damage the structure of the chiminea.
It is important to keep the fire at a reasonable level. Flames that are too large could potentially damage the chiminea or create a dangerous environment.
